Leadership Academy Featured in European News
On December 15th 2011, the success of the ELC Leadership Academy was featured in a European newspaper, “Le Jeudi”. The generous and gracious media article is a testament to the dedication of the Vauban school in Luxembourg and its teachers, parents, administrators and students for their support, participation and high importance placed on properly educating the children. The ELC believes that Leadership Education in today’s youth is of equal importance as math, science, history, english, music, health, technology, engineering and language education. We are very proud of all the students at Vauban for successfully completing and graduating from the Leadership Academy! In addition, we are big fans of the parents, teachers and administrators of Vauban for understanding the value that our Leadership Education has for their students and for nurturing their moral, empathy and leadership development by bringing the ELC Leadership Academy to Luxembourg!
In addition, yesterday was a big day for Evren in another capacity as was given the opportunity to meet one on one with the U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg at the U.S. Embassy. They discussed a broad range of topics including Leadership Education in schools, life and the future growth of the ELC Leadership Academy. Evren was HIGHLY impressed with the Ambassador and described him as a down-to-earth, incredibly intelligent, insightful, honest and humble man who is a model of positive leadership. After the one hour meeting, Evren acknowledged that he has gained a new role-model and mentor in his life who he will strive to be more like. Prior to his meeting with Ambassador Mandell, Evren was given a private tour of the European Court of Justice by one of the courts high ranking employees.
Upon Evren’s completion of the ELC Leadership Academy tour in Europe and his return to the United States in a few weeks, he will provide us with loads of pictures and videos of the ELC’s adventure and success! Here are a few resources and pics to check out in the meantime:

Positive feedback from the lead organizing teacher who brought the ELC to Europe:
“As teachers, we are very fortunate to have this incredible opportunity to give and to serve, to follow our passion of teaching and above all else, to help students make their dreams possible. But, I am really convinced that I was the luckiest of all for getting the chance to work with a wonderful and amazing person, Mr Evren Gunduz. He is simply outstanding!
The biggest compliment I can offer him is that he is truly a very unselfish person, fully dedicated to help the world instead of himself. I am convinced that the ELC Leadership Academy is a real revolution in modern teaching.
Corneille, the very famous French writer, wrote in The Cid, act 2 scene 2, something that I am sure could be dedicated to Evren:
‘True, I am young, but for souls nobly born, valor doesn’t await the passing of years.’
Good luck, Evren for the next ELC Adventure and above all else, Enjoy Life!
