ELC-verb!
Have you ELCed someone today??
“Today is your chance to be better than you were yesterday and your opportunity to make yourself and others better for tomorrow.” -Evren
One beautiful Sunday afternoon, Sam Haynor came in and worked with The Enjoy Life Club Internship Team. They shared, thought, laughed, high-fived and mostly collaborated on all things ELC. This seemingly mainstream session took a turn for the wild when Sam asked the twenty three interns, “If you were to ‘ELC’ someone, what would that look like?” The intern minds nearly exploded! Did Sam really just verbify “ELC”??? Yes, he had. They began brainstorming in their typical powerful, energized and highly synergistic fashion.
The ELC Interns ultimate list of what it could mean to “ELC” someone:
- Strengthen them so they can see their impact on the world
- Do something small and kind, extraordinary or just plain ridiculous for them
- Empower them to lead with positivity and do something good for someone else
- Make them feel good about themselves or their day through either your positive words or actions
- Care about them even if you don’t know each other
- Exude your positive energy to make them smile, laugh or both
- Incite in them a curiosity for the ELC
- Positively surprise or shock them with something fun, interesting or exciting
- Start and act of kindness that is easy to transfer and quickly morphs into a chain reaction of positivity
- Empathize with them and work to understand and uncover who they are and what they can/want to be
Now, it is up to you! Today is you chance to be better than you were yesterday and your opportunity to make yourself and others better for tomorrow. For optimum results of personal life fulfillment, ELC at least one person a day, don’t forget to tell them, “you just got ELCed!” and then share your story here!
